delta Stem Raiser Safety Notice

The instructions for these items do not have the correct torque specification for the installation/side bolts. The bolts should be tightened to 20nm. If the raiser is not properly tightened it can present a fall hazard.

 

Please follow the steps below to fix this problem.
  1. If you are a delta CONSUMER and have purchased TD3318B, TD3318S, SM1977 (overall height is 5.3”) please complete this form. Items TD3418B, TD3418S, SM1979 (overall height is 6.5” & will have height markers) do NOT require new bolts.
  2. If you are a delta DEALER and have own inventory of TD3318B, TD3318S, SM1977 (overall height is 5.3”) please complete this form. Items TD3418B, TD3418S, SM1979 (overall height is 6.5” & will have height markers) do NOT require new bolts.
  3. A trained bicycle technician should tighten (or install if needed per step above) bolts to 20nm. The retailer where you purchased this product can assist you with this process or you can find a reputable retailer by visiting this link.
